Cask @ Keans Head, Nottingham. Copper brown, still, very little head. Woody, malty aroma with a hint of cinnamon and bitter chocolate. Taste is bittersweet with a chocolate sour finish and aftertaste. A solid cask ale that grows on you.

Hand-pulled pint in The Eagle, Boston, Lincolnshire on 29 Mar 2013. Reddy-mid brown body, clean and clear looking with a light biege head of bubbles. Slightly more malts than hop notes in the aroma and taste: mildly toffee with a mini bitter finish. Nothing to test your taste buds but an OK beer non-the-less. Body depth was fine and I’d have had another if the bus wasn’t due to leave!

Cask: Creamy and lacy off-white head; moderate woody and light lemony nose; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied; distinctively lingering light to moderate fruity-bitter finish. Good, but not too great.....
