(Bottle, Monkβs CafΓ© Wallingatan, Stockholm) Golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of apricots, peaches, orange peel and marzipan. Fruity, malty taste with apricots, peaches, orange marmalade and a gentle, spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, fairly sweet. Well balanced and quite tasty. Very nice tripel.

Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass very zippy, huge head. Starts quite strong, intense spicy, fruity like apple. Finish still strong, almost salty notes, modest sourish. Nice one!

11.2 oz. bottle from a mix-pack. Pours a clear, dark gold color with a huge bubbly, white head. The aroma is citrus hops, spices and caramel. The flavors of this beer is mostly sweet, with a sharp sour note. The palate is heavy, syrupy, and highly carbonated, with a mild bitter aftertaste. Overall, an light, refreshing, candy-like beer.

Originally rated April 2006. Part of a St-Bernardus gift pack from Christmas 2005, at the LCBO. Best before date is 02 05 08 on back label. Pours a cloudy brown-beige-orange colour with a big creamy white head. Chunky, with great retention and some patchy lace. Sediments of all shape and sizes float around. Carbonation is very intense. The nose is of Belgian yeast, with some nuttiness and notes of fruits. Thin mouthfeel with some mild molasse found in the taste. Also found is some nuts, dark fruit, spices and caramel.

Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark golden-amber color with lots of dark floaters and a huge yellow-white head that lingered. The aroma was sweet sugar, candied pear, bready-yeasty notes, tart and a touch spicy. The flavor was yeasty, tangy and sugary with notes of pear, apple and caramel. The finish was long and tangy with notes of apple, pear, yeast and caramel. Full bodied. Excellent.

Bottle: Cloudy, deep golden, lots of UFOβs and clumps, lacy off-white head; moderate orangey nose with a yeasty and malty background, not to forget the hops; quite robust sweet-bitter flavour, a slightly adstringent acidity included, medium bodied; almondy and fruity traces in the sweet-sourish finish, accompanied by warming alcohol and a light acidity. O.K. ....

33 cl from Ohtsuki. Deep amber-orange color with an enormous head that just keeps rising, and huge carbonation. Tons of floaties too (most Iβve ever seen!). Musty, dusty, farmhouse and citrus aroma with green apples and a bit of warm, spicy, caramel malt in the background. Crisp, rather clean flavor of green apples and honey. Tends to the sour, dry side, though there is a good deal of sweetness as well. Spicy and full-flavored. Very nice.

Hazy, peacht colour. Light, fruity, malty aroma with some yeast. Quite soft and malty feel. Some bready, yeasty flavours come through a little too much but it does remain fresh and easy to drink.
