Flaska från SB. Den provade ölen heter Fullers IPA, ratingen styrs om till denna sida. Blommig doft med lite citrus och en hint av peppar. Parfymig smak med ytterligare lite blommor. Njae inte direkt en kioskvältare.

Bottle purchased from Sainsbury’s, consumed at home. Golden with a good amount of carbonation and off-white head. Grassy, lemony hops. Fresh, bittersweet, citrusy taste. Short dry aftertaste with a last hint of lemon. This is a proper English IPA, enjoyable and subtle.

Bottle, from Systembolaget Nordstran as Fuller’s India Pale Ale - not the beer I thought it was but had never rated Bengal Lancer so no loss, split at Colin and the Vikings tasting, Nol, Goteborg, Sweden 22/03/14. Clear golden with moderate off white edgeing and spotting. Nose is floral hops, citric notes, toasted malt, straw, bread dough. Taste comprises more floral notes, bitter orange, straw, toasted malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so, much better on cask but RB wise I wouldn’t have this down as an IPA regardless of bottle or cask, more an ESB.

Clear amber colour, tiny white head, some lacing. Fruity nose, bread, touch of honey, peach, apricot, ginger, citrus. Mildbitter and sweet taste, bit citric. Medium-bodied, oily to creamy texture, mild bitter finish that lingers on, bit peppery, very nice.

Bottled as Fuller’s India Pale Ale (Bottle conditioned 5.3%). Nice clean orange colour, with a small white creamy head, disappearing. Smell is not as intense as many IPAs, but it’s nice, floreal, fruity and with malt notes too. Taste has some caramel notes, then a good hoppiness, but never too intense. Low carbonation. Very pleasant beer.
