Bottle at home. Pours dark brown, thin to no head. Light roast and chocolate aromas. Taste is on the sweet side. Bit thin and forgettable.

Bottle at home, 8th February 14. Pours a good looking beer, too much head for a stout though. A little fizzy on the palate, aroma is ashy some chocolate, taste is smooth, sweetish and some bitter hops. Not a bad beer

Cask at Fuggles Beer Cafe in Tunbridge Wells. Pours very black with a thick, creamy head. Aroma is classic stout, roasty and malty. Taste is smooth and full bodied, with hints of chocolate, vanilla, and roastiness. Silky mouthfeel. Very satisfying.

Keg at Ales and Tails, Twickenham, 07/04/13. NOTE to self - need to double check whether this is an unpasteurised version or not but leaving rating here for time being. Mid black with a big frothy beige head that stays for the show. Nose is a little thin, roast malt, barley, metallic notes. Taste comprises roast malt, mineral tones, metallic notes, light chocolate. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, smooth on the palate. Ok drinkable fayre but a touch on the bland side.

(Cask) It sounds boring, but all I can say is that itโ€™s a nice, basic stout. Itโ€™s not smooth to the point of seeming artificial, not much aroma and although itโ€™s a tough mild itโ€™s fairly tasty.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crude oil like colour with a very thin tan head and some broken lace. The aroma is of malt and spice. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with loads of spice and pepper, oh and not forgetting that alcoholic liquorice bitterness on the palate! Titanic ales taste so much better cask in the pub than they do from a bottle!

Black colour with a beige top that leaves a fine lacing. Roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Medium body. Moderate fine sweetness and a moderate bitterness. Tasty nice stout with toffee, coffee, chocolate and roasted malt.

Bottle - Coffee and cocoa aroma. Dark brown, minimal head. Wonderful balance, no overt alcohol or bitterness. Roasted notes and mild chocolate and coffee. A very sessionable stout that has a nice low abv.

A massive 0.5l bottle. This bottle has to weight at least 2 or 3 kilos. Anyhow, it pours a clear a clear deep deep ruby-brown body with a small but heavy lacing beige head. It smells light roasted and berry-sweet, some clear chocolate tones here and perhaps also some burned caramel. Not horrible. It has a really thin oily texture and it's quite soft carbonated. Light roasted flavors also, some chocolate. Really easy to drink, and it's leaving a mild dry tongue. Not bad, not great. 20.07.2012
