Bottle #279, 2007 vintage. Malt and licorice in the heavy aroma. Malt, somewhat roasted with caramel and licorice in the flavor. Hint of laurel. Sweetish but well balanced by other flavors. Somewhat milky with a hint of cinnamon. Nice warming beer.

Bottle, 75cl, courtesy of fonefan. A nice-looking clear, dark golden beer with a nice off-white head sitting on top. Herbal, fruity notes in the aroma, on a caramel-sweet base. Sweet flavor with a hint of dms, some herbs and spices. Caramel too. Full-bodied and dry. Dry, bitter finish with caramel and a touch of spices. Not my idea of a christmas beer, but it works nicely as a beer for the dark, cold season. 090822
