Bottle brought home from Latvia by my dad. Clear dark reddish brown with a big and lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, a little roasted malt and dried fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 210613

Pours pitch black with a small bubbly head. Aroma of caramely malts, syrup, hints of roastiness and licorice. Taste is sweet, caramely, syrupy with hints of roastiness and licorice. Finish is smooth, carbonated and sweet with ripe fruits and syrupy notes. Decent, not very roasty porter.

Re-rate since i had another bottle wich was alot more pleasureable, dunno what was wrong with the first one. Bottlle @ Hotelroom, Liepaja, Latvia. Pours dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, licorice, some dark fruit. Flavour of sweet roasted malt, licorice, burnt caramel, dark fruit, slight portlike feel to it, just a hint of booze. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. 240912

Pours deep mahogany into a shaker. Mocha head with little retention recedes to hug rim leaving no lacing. Sour cardboard and nut aromas. Stale hot chocolate and soy upfront turning to mild resin in the medium length finish.

Smell of caramel (fluish nose doesn’t reveal anything else). Clear, dark brown colour, thin creamy light brown head. Very sweet, lightly bitter. Aroma of caramel and candy. Very balanced, basically a thorough caramel-tasting beer through it all.
