Bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is rich creamy caramel roasted malt with some liqourice hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter malt liqourice palate. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. I need to spend more time in Riga!

Bottle. Dark brown, more or less opaque. Noticeable tan head which dissipates quickly. Medium carbonation. The aroma is strong on the liquorice with full alcohol on the nose. Subtler notes of chocolate and raspberries. Sweet and smooth throughout, absolutely sublime. An unexpected find from the corner shop.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours see-through dark brown with a thin off-white head. Aromas are all sugars - caramel, toffee, burnt sugar. Taste is kinda sweet, very minimal bitterness coming through. For all that, a clean finish. Enjoyable.

Dark Brown, Almost Black, Huge Tan Head, Decent lacing. Sweet Malt, Light Toast, Caramel, Molasses. Medium Body, Hides ABV well. Easy to drink. Pretty Good. Considering that it is a Macro coming from a land dominated by Euro Pales, this is Even Better. Worth A Try...

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe - Near opaque black body with a tan head. Light on the nose with a touch of malts and not much else going on. Flavour is thick with character. Starts off nice and hearty with a touch of roasted quality to it, but it does not last long. Feel is nice and thick with a lot of body there and a decent carbonation.

50cl bottle from Riga Airport. Pous clear, very dark brown, close to black, with a tan head. Malty aroma with licorice, dark dried fruits, caramel, some roasty notes and hints of chocolate. Sweet and malty with fruity and some roasty flavours and a light bitterness. Fairly well balanced, but a bit to much on the sweet side for my taste. Medium body with a slightly soft carbonation. Sweet and desserty, but quite delicious.
