Twice World Champion Cask Beer at the prestigious International Brewing Awards, this contemporary IPA explodes with amazing hop harvest aromas, packs in big tropical and citrus hop flavours before a crisp, refreshing finish.

Double hopped with 100% USA sourced Citra hops. Green Devil is the big brother of our best selling Oakham Citra and very much the beer (a big, high ABV contemporary IPA) that our Brewing Director John Bryan envisaged brewing when he first discovered the Citra hop variety back in 2009.

(Bottle) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, mango, passion-fruit, floral hops and biscuity malt. Malty, fruity taste with tropical fruit (mango, pineapple, passion-fruit), lemon, grapefruit, biscuits and a fairly dry finish with a generous piney bitterness and fresh floral hops. Medium body, mainly dry. Tasty and well made IPA in great balance and with a generous hop presence. Very nice.

500 ml bottle, bb 10 Nov 2016. Courtesy of Werckmeister, thanks!
Golden, amber, clear body, with a medium, fluffy, moderately lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, grass, flowers, some herbs, some passion fruit, candy.
Taste follows this, with some more pine and more fresh floral and herbal hemp like notes.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, lingering piney, zesty, floral, herbal.

Very nice. Interesting mix of citric notes, with floral and fresh herbal aromas. Very crisp and refreshing, with a lovely piney finish. Quite unique style example, but a really enjoyable one I would drink again.

Bottle from Brewcraft at home on a rainy Sunday. Mostly clear golden-amber pour with white dense head. Aroma is juicy fruit hops balanced by honey malt. Taste is hoppier than the Oakham Citra - still a lot of malt that dulls the bitterness, but nicely bittered with some pine/citrus peel. Smooth soft palate. Lingering effervescent bitterness. Exceeded expectations - would get again for sure.

Oh yeah. This is my kind of IPA. Solid brew!
Clear golden color with a fine white head. Good lacing down the sides of the glass. Good intensity in the aroma. Lots of hops here. Medium + body and a fine carbonation. Good balance between sweetness and bitterness. Semi dry ending. Felt like it was a bit to much toffee at start. But it vanished luckily quite fast. Nice dominant citric hoppy, pine, tropical and a nice malty back. Flavor last a fine time. Fresh, tasty and easy drinkable stuff!

Pours a clear golden color with small white head. Smell is subtle, yet rich with fruits and hops. Medium body with soft carbonation. Carbonation itself is a bit on the lower end making the mouthfeel a tiny bit watery. Taste is mostly bitter, rich in aroma of hops and fruits. Notes of pineapple, mango and grapefruit, really nice. Very smooth and beautifully balanced. Long, dry finish. Overall, great IPA. Recommended!

On cask in London. Intense sticky hoppy fresh beginning. The body is quite sweetish, the hops are floral with lots of pine. Fresh smooth floral sticky aftertaste on a a bit too sweetish body. Nice though.
