By definition, an India pale ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale—and we deliver in spades. One of the most well-respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with tropical, citrusy, piney hop flavors and aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21A). Can 33 cl - Batch 170407DE0102 (JAN.2018). AROMA: predominant oxidized hops (cheese) with low malt background (slightly sweet). APPEARANCE: dark gold and clear. m?dium ivory head with good retention. TASTE: m?dium-low oxidized hops (dried grass), followed by almost neutral and slightly sweet malt background. high bitterness with a bitter and almost harsh finish. PALATE: m?dium-low body with m?dium carbonation. slight astringency. OVERALL: unfortunately another oxidized IPA from the Berlin Stone operation.

Bottle from Vons, Las Vegas. Pours clear golden with a diminishing, small, white head. The aroma contains hops, spices, fruits (grapefruit), some citrus and yeast. It tastes medium to heavy bitter and light sweet, with a rather astringent, dry finish. Medium body, oily/slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Not very satisfying to me.
