Bottle from Zetouna shared with co-workers on business in Detroit. Pours a pitch black with a finger of beige foam that dissipates quickly. Light bourbon aromas with lots of banana and faint coconut notes. Chocolate covered banana on the palate but the texture is a bit thin. Lingering oak, bourbon and banana on the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Dragons Milk Reserve - Banana Coconut on 27 Nov 2018 at 22:04 - Score: 7. Bottle from Cap Tap. Pours dark brn/blk with a slight dark tan head. Aroma of coconut (toasted?) and banana. Near full bodied. Flavor starts bourbon/vanilla/banana - quickly followed by lots of toasted coconut. A bit of heat. Not dry. Not bitter. Extremely tasty stuff.

Bottle thanks to Rob. Pours a dark brown ruby with small beige head. The aroma is banana, cocoa, roast. Slick body, coconut, runts banana candies, very sweet, boozy finish, good.

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 9/7/2018. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, banana, coconut, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, nuts, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of coffee, molasses, licorice, raisin, cherry, smoke, herbal, and roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, banana, coconut, and bourbon barrel notes; with big strength. Taste of huge milk chocolate, cocoa, banana, coconut, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, nuts, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of coffee, molasses, licorice, raisin, cherry, smoke, herbal, and roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Mild herbal/roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, banana, coconut, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, nuts, dark/brown bread, light coffee/dark fruit/smoke, herbal, and roast/toast/oaky earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, banana, coconut, and bourbon barrel flavors; with a solid roasted bitter/sweet and bourbon/oak spiciness balance; with zero cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety, and slightly sticky/chalky/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mildly increasing warmth of 11%, with no barrel booziness lingering after the finish. Overall this is an incredible flavored barrel aged imperial stout. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, banana, coconut, and bourbon barrel flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Perfectly balanced rich malts, flavorings, and bourbon barrel integration. Very minimal booze/tannins on barrels, and charred on malts. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing dessert style example as expected.
