330ml bottle @ Albert's Shed. Pours dark brown, medium pale tan head. Nose presents a dark malty, biscuity aroma. Thin bodied with light hints of chocolate, biscuit, toast, brown bread, very light sweetness, drying close. Not the best Schwarzbier, but it's drinkable.

Bottle from Amathus, Soho. Roasted vegetable aroma. Dark - cola brown in the light. Off white head starts off frothy before ebbing away. Light-medium bitter with a sweet and sour edge, particularly in the finish. Malts too. Light bodied. Thin, some vestiges of slickness. Light fizzy carbonation. Long but unintrusive finish. Too sweet and sour for my personal tastes. Otherwise pretty lightweight.

From 33cl bottle at To Steki, Bologna, Italy. Pours completely black with evanescent white foam. Aroma is mostly licorice and roasted, some caramel. Body is average with intense carbonation filing your mouth. Taste has some sweetness, and moderate bitterness, also traceable to the roasted malt. Finish is short and clean apparently, but some residual bitterness stays around pleasantly.

330 ml bottle (twice, actually) at Restaurant Coconut, Rhodos. ABV is 5.2%. Has none of the characteristics of a Dunkel, this is a Schwarzbier. Black colour, beige head. Medium roasty and fairly dry aroma and flavour, mild coffee notes. One of the better schwarzbiers I’ve had.
