Bottle @ MiP. Pours clear dark amber with airy white head. Faint aroma of hops with a suspicious skunky note. Bitter taste of hops with a note of malt. Dry finish. Not very impressive but drinkable.

bottle from kappldav123. Deep brown colour, mid-sized beige head. Malty flavours, lots of roasetd malts, caramel, chocolate. Nothing offensive here, a clean, amost too clean dunkel, slightly boring, but quite ok for a beer from such a huge brewery. Much better than their "Dark" which I bought in England.

9/10/11/9/9/9 6

(bottle, 33cl, 4.8% abv) Clear, brown colour with a beige and dense mid-sized foamy head. Discreet aroma of ashy malt with traces of sour dough, as well as grassy and slightly metallic hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a turbulent carbonation. Ashy and dry malt-character with burnt notes; dry and slightly harsh bitter finish with notes of grassy hops. Close to a Pils. 16.X.12

Bottle: Amber coloured, clear, smaller - slowly collapsing - white head, light to moderate grassy-hoppy nose with very faint traces of dark malt or caramel; moderate dryish bitter - sweet flavour, light bodied and a bit fizzy; short and dry bitter-grassy finish. This is not a real Dunkel, but a fake! Tastes suspiciously like a coloured Krombacher Pils…

New Krombacher beer, only available on tap. Beer in the glass not as dark as exspected, huge head. Starts mild-malty, not too roasty, modest fruity like plum. Soft sourish background. Finish a bit more intense malty-fruity, modest dry. Interesting.
