Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark malt, light bread and grain. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, thin, dark malt, grain - bread. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130629]

Bottled as Krombacher Dunkel: Kibble and molasses nose, with pecan accents. Garnet black, thick tan head. Medium body. Charred oak flavor, roasted malt flavor, not excessively sweet. Walnut hints. A really nice dunkel.

330ml bottle. Clear dark amber colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Minimally grainy, caramel malty aroma with a nuttily touch, slightly grassy hoppy overtones. Taste is dry husky, almost strawy, cautiously caramel malty, grassy hoppy.

Bottle, 4.8%. Roasted aroma, slightly farty. Clear dark brown colour. Small semi-stable light brown head. The flavour is not exactly roasted, but OK flavourful. Grainy finish, but not sour or anything.
