HAHAHAH, they call this beer? Wow, it looks like soda water in my glass, there is the slightest yellow tinge to it. No head to speak of. Flavour is.........well........water, there is no flavour. Wow, this is bad. the only reason this isnt getting a .5 is because it’s good to see beer being brewed for people who are gluten intolerant.
A very pale blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity cardboard, light mineral notes, blahhh. In mouth, sweet corn juice with light mineral notes, bad.

Tried this in 2005 the first time and forgot to review. Light yellow colour, clean, little white head disappearing quickly leaving not much. Vinous grape aromas which give out a little sourness with the buckwheat. The taste is pretty mild with some little grape notes and very light bitterness in the finish. Not very good and Glutenberg came out since making much better gluten-free brews.

341 ml bottle. Pours a clear, very pale yellow with a thin white head. Weak aroma of apple cider and rice. Sweet flavour of apples and sugar with a slightly dry finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and fizzy carbonation.

Bouteille 341ml.

Best before May 2005 bottle consumed on 10/13/2005. Light platinum blonde colored beer with a haze?? Yep! Unfiltered it is indeed, with a thick layer of sediment at the bottom. Head is white and rapidly recedes to a ring. Smells like sake. Definitely sake. Maybe some chemicals/plastic. Definitely not smelling the hops that were promised on the label. Faint soft citrusy note, sort of like light tangerines. First taste makes me exclaim how bad it is. White rice pudding, some buckwheat sweetness I guess. No hops. . . . but a nice mouthfeel! Lemon-vanilla shortbread. Actually now that it is breathing and warming, it’s not so bad. Rice and honey notes, quite sweet now, lots of resemblance to sake, but it’s pretty bearable. For a malt-free beer, I’m pretty impressed. I can appreciate that they brewed a beer for those who are allergic to gluten. It’s really quite good in that regard. Certainly no replacement for barley, but I’m sure it’s not too bad at all when fresh, as a light session beer.

Pale straw with lasting white head. Neutral nose. Thin and bland, not much here. Nothing bad, but noting good either.

Ultra pale. I mean this makes Coors Light look like Pilsner Urquell. Scant aroma. Thin body. Cidery palate. I can understand using certain grains to avoid gluten, but do hops really have so much gluten that they, too, need to be avoided? If I ever become allergic to gluten, I'll start drinking gin again, because rating this strictly on beer terms, it's awful.

Crystal clear colour with a VERY light yellow colour. The worst beer i've seen to date. Smells a bit like a white wine and looks like it as well. Light-bodied; Almost no flavour, a tiny bit of white wine taste, but not much. Aftertaste is very subtle and not great. Overall, not a great beer...pass this one up! I sampled this beer at Joey_Capps' on 13-September-2003 in Hamilton, Ontario.
