Gebraut mit hellem Gerstenmalz und den Hopfensorten Tettnanger Perle und Hallertauer Magnum. Höhere Stammwürze sorgt für einen besonderen Malzkörper des Biers. Das „Blaue“ genannt, trägt es die blaue Farbe seit 1927. Berg Spezial gibt es ausschließlich in der Flasche.

Many thanks to Gabriel. Large rocky white head on still clear golden coloured body. Fruity, berry & cereal aroma. Medium bodied, soft & fluffy on the tongue with a dry back. Malt, bread, cereal, stone fruit tastes with a lightly hopped bitter finish. Nice one.

0,5 l bottle from Erzengel. Thanks a lot! Now listed with 5.3 abv. Clear light golden in the glass, one finger white head. Grassy malty aroma with metallic elements. Taste is malty with caramel, little bit citrus. Increasing mid bitterness in the second part. Okay.

500ml bottle. Minimally milky, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Strawy and grainy, malty aroma, sweet-ish overtones of cereals, a touch of malty spiciness. Taste is minimally sweet and minimally strawy, pale malty, a touch of cereals, rather plain, moderately bitter hoppy counterpart. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Clean, simple, well balanced, refreshing, relatively (bitter) hoppy for the style - not bad.

Bottled, from Biershop Baden-Württemberg. Clear golden, small head. Fruity nose with some bread and floral hay . Mid sweet with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Bready with slight hay. Mid bitter finish.

Bottle shared thanks to Sjogro. Clear light golden with very short lasting white head. Honey, sweet malts and light herbs. Crisp and clear taste with light to medium sweetness and light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied with a bit low carbonation. Some light straw and milk in the finish, otherwise and nice clean lager.
