From tap at Nederlandse Bieren Festival Delft. Gruwel! Leuk experiment maar kippevel van ranzigheid! Zout/zuur/koffie/vanille. Backlog from 2015/06/28.

33 cl bottle @ home, bottled 6 months ago. Black color, Light brown head, with thin layer retention. Aroma’s: smoky, smoked fish, leather, roasty, Retronasal it’s smoky, a bit fruity, yeast. Flavor is moderate bitter, roasted, some fruity sourness. Body is thin, which I could have expected, but a bit more would have been nice. Finishes with ash, burnt, moderate to full bitter.

Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub. Hazy dark brown to black color, average sized quickly diminishing light brown head. Aroma is quite horrible imo, I really don’t like it: malts, smoke, sourish smoke, peat, iodine and fingerpaint I used as a kid in elementary school. Taste is, when I drink it without inhaling any of the aroma, doable. Malts, roasted malts, nicely bitter and only slightly smoke. Why that aroma? Tastes fine but I hate the aroma.

Tap at OBF 2015. Pours drk brown with a beige head. Aroma is smoke! Med + body. Flavor is smoke, burnt malt. Ye the flavor is very expressive. Quite nice.

Tap at Delfts bierfestival. Murky brown with greyish head. Ash, smoke, salty coffee, light chocolate, lemon juice. Taste is light to medium sour, light salty and light roasted bitter finish. Light bodied. Not my thing.
