Fruit-forward hops take this IPA to the tropics.

Beer Camp is the ultimate brewing experience. We invite beer fans into our brewery nearly every week to design their own beer and then we bring it to life. Each spring, we’ll feature one of our favorite collaborations from the previous year. This year’s selection features intensely aromatic hop varietals rich with the flavors of the tropics. We use Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado hops to create bright fruit-forward flavors of mango, papaya and bitter orange.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Clear golden with short lasting but nice looking fluffy white head. Mango, passion fruit, orange. Massive passion fruit actually. Quite grassy too, with a light biscuity malt base underneath. Light sweet and medium bitter. Almost medium bodied. Good tropical fruit juice IPA but it’s maybe a bit too bitter for me. Still very nice.

Draft at Sierra Tap House as Nitropical. Clear golden color, thick white nitro head. Aroma of fruity pillows. Taste is light fruit. Nitro head interferes with the aroma a bit.

(bottle, 35.5cl) Slightly hazy, golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Moderately exotic fruity and slightly floral hoppy aroma with notes of mango, pineapples and hints of grapefruit, delicately bready malt in the background. Mildly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Soft and almost a bit slim malty base with fruity and mildly tropical hops; moderately dry and bitter hoppy finish, getting mildly resinous at the very end. Enjoyable IPA for the summer time. 21.V.16

Bottle from Rudat in Dortmund. Great floral in the nose. Lots of fruit and herbal hops. The beer starts intense floral hoppy. Lots of pine. Resin, fruit. Lemon, orange. Pineapple, peach and passion fruit are there. Long and intense thick hop-oil aftertaste. Nice bitterness with concentrated fruit! Great stuff!!
