Fruit-forward hops take this IPA to the tropics.

Beer Camp is the ultimate brewing experience. We invite beer fans into our brewery nearly every week to design their own beer and then we bring it to life. Each spring, we’ll feature one of our favorite collaborations from the previous year. This year’s selection features intensely aromatic hop varietals rich with the flavors of the tropics. We use Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado hops to create bright fruit-forward flavors of mango, papaya and bitter orange.

From a 355ml bottle on 20/5/2016. Pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Has a lovely tropical fruit aroma, with some floral elements in the mix. Taste wise, it’s a real fruit salad - oodles of sweet citrus, tropical and stone fruit - set of against big, grapefruity, lingering hops. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A very nicely balanced, punchy, delicious fruit-driven IPA

Butilka: Deep golden, clear, big and stable creamy white head; moderate to solid aroma of - yes - tropical fruit (e.g. mango, grapefruits, tangerines) , covering some pale malt; distinctive dryish bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and tart; lingering and lingering dry fruity-hoppy finish. 355ml bottle. (2016 vintage) Pours a slightly hazy orange with a medium, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet, fruity aroma of mango, papaya, peach, orange and grapefruit. Sweet flavour of orange peel, grapefruit, papaya, apricot, pine and just a hint of mango with a dry, bitter, hoppy resin finish. Medium body with a slick, oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice.

355ml bottle. Minimally milky, yellow-ish golden colour with average, ftorhy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing white head. Tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, somehow condensed and compressed that it breeds an effect of grassy hop flavour re-entry, still notes of mango, passion fruit, papaya on an orange biscuit ground layer. Taste is tropical fruity hoppy, moderately sweet caramel malty, fruity notes of mango and papaya, decent hop bitterness. Threateningly close to boring in its smoothed shallowness and craving for admiration.

Pungent daffodil bouquet. Hazy amber, medium head, good lacing. Resinous daffodil and lillies, white pepper at midpalate, subtle nectarine underneath. Medium body, moderate body. Not nearly as fruity as I expected or hoped. Kind of disappointing.
