A strong scotch ale in which heavy, dark stone fruit flavors pair well with the leathery and tobacco notes brought out by the caramelized malts. The addition of smoked cherrywood malt lends a smoky sweetness. After a month in fermentation, this sweet and dry-finishing ale is ready for you to imbibe.

Draft. Brown body with a tan head, diminishing. Aroma of sweet malts, candy, caramel, toasted grain, light smoke. The flavor is heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. Medium to full body, watery/syrupy texture, moderate carbonation. Tastes of molasses, caramel with hints of tobacco and dark fruits and a finish of raw grain. Unclean. Cloyingly sweet. More than a wee bit left when I had to abandon ship on this one.

cask at the brewpub - Deep amber pour. It has a pretty mild caramel malt aroma. The flavor is very sweet and malty with some mild hops in the finish along with some alcohol warmth. It's smooth and medium to full bodied with low carbonation characteristic of a cask pour.
