Founders Local Hive Honey Wheat (American Wheat Ale) is a classic Founders summer beer. Brewed with barley and wheat for a smooth base, honey from local farmers is added to give it a pleasant sweetness, which is balanced by hops with a blend of mild citrus flavors. Perfect for enjoying on the streets of Grand Rapids in honor of the 10th Anniversary of the Local First Street Party.

Admin Note: Also known as "Bees Wax Honey Wheat" and "Honey Bee Honey Wheat".

Draft. Light gold body. Frothy, off-white head. Aroma of honey, spice, herbs, toasted grain, light floral notes. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Sweet, but not overly. Light floral taste with honey, earthiness, grain. Clean. Enjoyable.
