Bottle direct from brewer. Pours a light hazy dark gold, small white head but no retention. Aroma of biscuit malts, grain, resin, herb like hops. Taste is oddly stale with biscuit, a sort of old fruity resin, strong bitterness. Its quite cloying on the palate despite only being light to moderate in body. Carbonation is low to moderate and fine. Despite the above it actually improved as it warmed up taking away some of the harsher elements. I'm usually fine with blondes straight from the fridge but I guess with the higher than average malt and bitterness level this one is different. Might be worth them putting 'lightly chilled' on the label. Even when it warmed up it wasn't that tasty, better than most lagers though.
