KØLF 271120. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, spices. Flavour is roasted malt, spices, cocoa, chocolate, alcohol, licorice.

Bottle. It pours a dark brown body under a small, dense dark beige head. Perfumed aroma with roasted malts, spiced hints, cocoa and a touch of burnt malts. It’s full-bodied, warming, semi-sweet and with a soft carbonation. Roasted malts, cocoa, burnt hints, cocoa notes and perfumed, spiced notes in the back, licorice too. Some faint smoke notes. Lasting finish that leads my thoughts to Barley Wine more than Imperial Stout. Sure nice, sure interesting. 201127

bottle from beerbay. clear dark brown, smooth light brown head. aroma is nutty, malts and brown sugar and caramel, port wine. flavor is roasted malts, blackberries, blueberries, wood, something herbal resembling but not quite like licorice, faint smoked notes. quite herbal and quite herbal bitter, very special flavor.

33cl bottle bought at the brewery in Altea. Pours dark, dark brown with a moderate, beige head. Roasty aroma with mild smoky notes, hints of wood, tar, dark fruits and dark chocolate. Medium sweet with a surprisingly balanced bitterness. Very smooth mouthfeel and dangerously drinkable. A really pleasant and tasty stout with a (fortunately) mild smoked note. Blended really fine with dark malt, toffee and some bready notes. No sticky alcohol coming up either. Good work.

Black color, light beige head. Smoky aroma with hints if roasted malts, alcohol are present as well. Flavor is roasty, notes of smoked meat, notes of black chocolate, some bitterness. Roasty and smoky final.

330ml bottle. Dark brown with a thick off white head. Sweet malt and smoke aroma. Flavour is big and boozy, fruity malt loaf with a lush, syrupy mouth feel. Most enjoyable

0,33l bottle from Cuguet de Ilum, Alicante. Deep dark brown, almost black beer with huge and stable cloudy beige head. Very beautiful. Aroma has smoke, ham, malts, some coffee and milk. Taste is even more strong with smoke, ham, some sweety sugar maltyness, which turns quickly into more drier and bitter side with coffee and roast. Full body. Very nice beer overall! Best ever from Spain so far!

330ml bottle, beer gift from Frau Eva. Shared with djoeye and Finn. A fawn-coloured head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Very dark body with a deep ruby tint. Cool label design. Smoked malty nose, hints of bacon joined by bread and caramel sweetness. Solid taste profile of smoked malts balanced by dark caramel and moments of dried fruits. Smoothly smoked malty ending, lingering for quite a while. Hidden alcohol. Good stuff. (Tromsø 10.04.2018).

Flaske spandert av Rune. Delt med ham og djoeye i WCveien 10 Apr 18. Svart. Lavt tett mokkafarget skum. Aroma av tjære. Smaken tjære & bacon. Behagelig øl med godt kamuflert alkohol.
