Donker, complex bier, waarin koffie en eikenhout, gedrenkt in Connemara Peated Whiskey, een mooie gelaagdheid creëren. Tonen van chocolade en vanille.

12oz bottle at De Bierkonig, pours a opaque black with plenty of frothy, cream colored head. Nose is raw... raw coffee bean, raw cocoa pod, raw vanilla, licorice and malt too, dark fruits. Flavor is chewy with grain and caramel, cocoa powder, vanilla, malt soda, coffee soda. Finishes fairly dry. If this is aged in peated whiskey barrels, good on ya. Super smooth. No real peat, very light on the booze.

Geprobeerd met Inoven bij het Nederlands Speciaalbier festival in den Bosch. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een moutige gebrande geur. De smaak is vol, gebrande mout en koffie.

Bottle. Color: Black, dense stable beige head. Aroma: Coffee, peat, whiskey. Taste: Moderate sweet roasted malt, notes of coffee and peated whiskey, hints of nuts. Dry mouthfeel. Medium body, soft carbonation. Pretty smooth. Easy drinkable but at the same time missing some excitement. Could use more body. The BA works out well without being overwhelming. Decent imperial porter.
