Sampled at THT June. Clear golden with big white head. Sweet malts, soft caramel, light spicy yeast, coriander, light alcohol, soft dough, a touch of cardboard. Quite sweet, almost medium bitter. Over medium bodied.

33cl bottle. A clear deep golden beer with a huge good lasting off-white to white head. Aroma of straw, flowers, moderate strong spicy pale malt. Taste of spicy strong pale malt, straw, flowers, hints of metallic hops.

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of alcohol, light spicy, coriander, apple. Flavour follows, typical decent Tripel, not overly sweet but not very exciting either. Medium bodied.

A l'instar de la quadruple de la même brasserie, cette triple ne m'a pas fait grande impression. Toujours une lourdeur en bouche (pas aussi marquée que sur la quadruple) avec un sucre un peu trop présent, un alcool mal intégré et une petite acidité peu opportune pour le style. peu de cohérence et de lisibilité au final sur des arômes classiques mal exploités de fruits (pomme, poire, banane), de miel et d'épices. Sa robe, blond doré trouble (EBC aux alentours de 22) est surmontée d'une mousse blanche de 3 mm. Le nez montre un caractère certain. L'alcool et les épices sont bien présents sur une base fruitée de pomme, poire et banane. La dégustation présente le même caractère, mais un caractère instable et peu harmonieux. L'attaque est déséquilibrée, acidulée, en compagnie de coriandre, de l'alcool, du miel et du fruit. La deuxième bouche commence à perdre son côté acidulé mais avec un alcool qui commence à prendre les devants en allant crescendo jusqu'au final long, mais trop porté sur l'alcool (à 8,5 % Abv). L'arrière bouche, peu ample, n'est en plus pas bien intégrée, voire peu agréable, sur l'acidité, les fruits et la coriandre. Décevant....

Oranjegeel bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is krachtig, zoet, licht bitter en fruitig met iets van sinaasappel. Smaak blijft erg lang hangen, erg goed bier!

Bottle from Hopduvel. Aroma of 'pure' malt, apricot, orange peel, straw, yeast, flowers, spices. Taste has sweetish apricot & orange; bitter grain, straw & spices over honeyish, bready maltiness. Grassy & floral hoppy finish, slightly metallic but not disturbing, with a spicy, flowery-perfumey, dry-yeasty effect and some warming jenever-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Not a 'benchmark' Tripel and certainly not progressive, but it carries a recognisable flowery character. Still good. No score change.
