EBC 11.

330ml bottle. Pours a misty gold, good white head. Aroma is quite sweet, creamy. Taste is smooth and light, but fairly rich and sweet with some tired malts, drying out towards the end. Too sweet, not that great really.

05/02/2017 @home 33cl bottle from a gift. hazy yellow-orange, nice carbo, light tanned creamy head. Nose is malty, yeast, spicy, fresh hops. Taste is malty, yeast, hint of caramel, spices, refreshing hops aftertaste. Again a Triple that could do on a sunny day.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 11/2017, at One Pint Pub, 20151204) The beer poured deep amber and rather clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had honey, sweetness, tea and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, honey, grass, malts and bitternes. Aftertaste had honey and bitterness. A decent tripel. Nothing disturbing.

Bottle from Elie. Many thanks! Hazy golden colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Sweet with nose of flowers, banana, peach and some citrus. Well balanced. Sweet and bitter. Good tripel!

Maenhout’s first, tasted when it first came onto the market. Loose, cream white head, misty peach blonde colour with slightly brownish hue. Aroma starts off nicely with apple, coriander, orange peel, and then it makes a turn for the worse with my friends H2S (rotten egg), DMS (cooked cabbage) and sweat... Fruity taste, malt sweetness, slick and elegant with grassy hops but then there’s the retronasal DMS ruining it. I must have had a bad bottle and I suspect this has much improved meanwhile, viewing the other ratings here and viewing the quality of their current beers. Time to give it a second chance.
