Once again we are collabing with our good friends at Oud Beersel, this time we wanted to bring some of the Norwegian nature into the beer. Norway is full of fjords and forests, Skogen meaning forest what a better way to do this than to add some fresh Spruce shoots to a farmhouse ale and we have blended it to Young Lambic from Gert, we then aged the whole beer on red Zinfindel barrels for 6 months.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, wheat, oats, rye, hops, spruce shoots, yeast.

slightly hazy light golden color. Lots of barnyard hay and horseblanket low carboNation. Smooth fairly sour without being over the top. Excellent depth. Love it

Lervig Skogen a collab with Oud Beersel! Gold with a soft wheat and cork aroma. Taste is bang on lambic. Yum.

Fluffy, disparate white head over hazy ochre-orange beer. Soap, other grains, hints at horseblanket, farmyard, cheese. Sweet yoghurt, milkshake with a lot of lactic acid. Finish has the lambic farmyard flavours, and again wheat/other grains. Medium bodied all the same, bit tittilating MF. Not a I mariage parfait /I I'm afraid.

Can at home. Pours a hazy amber, with just a tiny bit of head. Aroma is super funky, grassy, floral and fruity. Some apple and pear, pine and citrus fruit. Medium body. Malty body, medium sweetness. Tastes a lot like a good farmhouse saison. Really funky with quite a lot of acidity. Fruity with apple and citrus notes. Spruce tips. Really lovely foresty funky sour. Not an IPA, closer to a saison, but certainly delicious and refreshing.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A firm, chalk white head leaving crocheted lacing on the glass. Misty pale golden body. Inviting smell of yeasty fruitiness, herbal dry. Well balanced taste of pineapple, drying yeasty fruitiness, cheese and oily hops. Almost bone dry bitter ending. Rounded mouthfeel. Like it. (Tromsø 28.07.2019).
