Draft @Bier Centraal poured into a taster. Hazy pale golden colour, small frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma sweet malts, lemon, pineapple, yeast, grassy hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, pineapple, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, fruity, malty and spicy notes, well-balanced, very nice.

Belgoo seems to make alternative, organic versions of most of their beers and this is the organic form of Keekebisj, a hoppy strong blonde. Steinie bottle from a Bioplanet store in Ghent. Snow white, foamy, very thick, cobweb-lacing head, misty yellowish pure golden robe with fierce sparkling throughout, sustaining the head. Aroma of green banana, straw, dried camomile, old lemon peel, bread crumbs, freshly cut apples, touch of grape, honey, pineapple, vague damp earth note after adding the sediment. Fruity, crisp onset, some banana, green kiwi, pear and pineapple impressions, sweetish with a fizzy and minerally carbonation; supple bready malt body with cereally edges and a thin layer of residual honeyish sweetness on top, evolving into a confidently grassy and floral hop bitterish finish with a soft but elegant spiciness to it. Well-made, sleek, easygoing but cleverly balanced tripel, for me clearly above average in this – in Belgium – overexposed style. Typical Belgoo house style, I’d say.

Small whitish head over clear orangey-golden beer. Spicy, fruity, fresh-citrussy (lime?) aroma, very inviting; faint human sweat. Dry, spicy, light-sourish flavour with a bitter finish. Acidity enhanced by the spritzy carbonation. Other grains impression, flour from non-grains origins (beans, roots, chestnut...) Light, spritzy carbonation; seems highly attenuated. Nice!
