So I was practically an alcoholic for the month of November. I drank possibly every day, lots of beers, 2 entire 750s of bourbon, and more. I decided to take a break in December at least until Christmas, and then i saw these on the shelf and thought perfect. Initial nose features a nice clean west coast IPA type hop, a lot of citrus. Primarily grapefruit, and there is a slight breadiness. Nice gold color with a slight chill haze, good foaming head that persists. The low gravity seems to have left us with an extremely lean and dry malt profile that contributes virtually nothing flavor wise, leaving this to dominated by astringent citrus-rind and resin hop flavors. Mildly reminiscent of some of the hop-water products I've tried. So in that vein, this seems a perfectly acceptable beverage, but when thinking of it as beer, the lack of body and malt presence makes it quite lacking. I'm not mad about it though. I'm drinking it after mowing the grass on a warm Florida December afternoon, and for that its OK.

Can from Homesense, Manchester. Golden with a small head. Has a fine pale ale texture and taste, but it's clearly low alcohol so isn't quite packing a punch.

Canned 9/3/21, drunk 12/26/21. Clear brass with a hint of chill haze. Medium-sized white head fades steadily to a messy ring. Tangerine, peach and mild pine with strong fruity yeast and a touch of sourdough like maltiness. Black pepper and dried herb. Soft, lightly to moderately bitter. Black pepper, unripe peach and hints of orange and lemon juice and rind. Very dry, and to that effect, maybe a bit too dry and lighter bodied than I'd prefer. But the flavors are good for an old school IPA without too much pine or overly dry/acidic citrus. For your flagship beer, and an NA in particular, however, this is fantastic, and Athletic has well-earned its popularity.

Surprised by this, enjoyed while going through a period where I’m trying to give up alcohol but still enjoy beer. I can’t say its “just like the real thing” but its pretty damn close. Tastes like a run of the mill IPA, nothing exemplary about it, but if you want an IPA but can’t have alcohol this is a great option. Hopefully more brewers attempt to make N/A versions of their flagship brews.
