The Statement is our balaton cherry mead – made with the highest quality Traverse City balaton cherries, carefully selected honey and twenty years of experience – having gone through more than a dozen iterations. Living up to it’s name, this mead truly makes a statement due to its incredible expression and depth of flavor and character rendered from honey and Michigan tart cherries. A natural complement to chocolate and sharp or blue cheeses, The Statement also pairs well with grilled pork, and makes a terrific reduction sauce for desserts. 375ml bottle. Pours a very deep ruby red. Aroma is all the cherries, marzipan. Taste is incredibly rich cherry with a little tartness about them, honey, syrupy sweetness but not cloying, warming alcohol. Absolutely beautiful melomel.

Sample from the bottle at Pien, Helsinki. Color is clear dark ruby with almost no head. Aromas and flavors: Berries, red berries, sweetness, honey, dryness... clear strong meaf.

Fairly thick, sweet, boozy, lots of NyQuill cherry, a bit tart, smooth. Not one of their best.

Oak & cherry aroma. Slick on the tongue with an oily back. Cherries, oaky & more cherry tastes. It's just a cherry explosion in the mouth. Excellent!

Bottle, at share, thanks to me. Pours deep red. Cherry, sweet intense cherry, floral honey, raspberry, slight tartness. Oily body. Incredible.
