The Statement is our balaton cherry mead – made with the highest quality Traverse City balaton cherries, carefully selected honey and twenty years of experience – having gone through more than a dozen iterations. Living up to it’s name, this mead truly makes a statement due to its incredible expression and depth of flavor and character rendered from honey and Michigan tart cherries. A natural complement to chocolate and sharp or blue cheeses, The Statement also pairs well with grilled pork, and makes a terrific reduction sauce for desserts.

375 ml bottle, thank you TJ! Wow, what a treat! Very deep ruby color. Eye appealing ruby shade. Aroma is red grape, red cherry, mild honey.

Wow! The cherry is very forward, honey wine base with just a nuance of berries. The alcohol is completely hidden. Rich and decadent with cherry. For anybody who only had an ounce or two, sorry you didn’t get the feel of this mead. My 150 ml sample was delightful! Thank you TJ!

Poured from 375ml bottle thanks darrel. Nice dark cherry color with nice lacing and no head. Aromas of tart cherry honey light floral notes. Taste is syrupy slick with a nice dry juicyness cherry bomb with the alcohol being totally hidden. I could drink bottles of this and not get tired. Well worth the $$$$!

Thanks to Jordan! It pours a deep purple color. The aroma has tons of cherry and blueberry preserves. Pancake syrup. I could swear there’s a hint of banana in here too. The flavor is decadent and sweet. Massive cherry and blueberry blast. Nice light fermentation and alcohol esters. So tasty. My first Schramm’s and I wasn’t disappointed.

Bottle from Darrell. Jelly jar aroma, fruity with some booze on the back end. Mostly it’s the fruit though, pure cherry flavors, mildly warming.

Sampled at Vintage Estate this mead poured a very dark red color. The aroma was tangy and sweetish with cinnamon and cherry pie filling. The flavor was cinnamon, cherry pie filing, yeast and cracker. Very long finish. Full bodied. Marvelous
