On tap at the brewpub. It’s a hazy, dark amber to brown colored beer with a finger-thick beige colored head. There’s lots of toffee and dried fruits in the aroma, with chocolate and caramel in the back. The flavor is more on the coffee side, still with room for toffee and dried fruits, as well as a nice bitterness. Caramel sweetness and chocolate in the back. Semi-dry on the palate though, with a nice carbonation level. Full body. Lasting finish. A tasteful and enjoyable beer. 141127

On tap at Crowbar, Oslo. Clear very dark with a nice reddish hue when hold in front of the candle light. Dark malty aroma with notes of dark fruits, dark chocolate and roasty notes and hints of smoke. Medium sweet with nice malty flavours and a lightly spicy and slightly dry finish. Warming alcohol, but well integrated. Tasty and enjoyable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pfft... X Crow Ersatzkaffee on 24 Nov 2014 at 19:30 - Score: 7

Deep dark amber color with a tan head. Good looking. I do not think they had this aroma I 1944. Roasted and coffee. Solid body. Tad sweet and a nice bitterness. Coffee, toffee, fruity and mild roasted flavor. A really tasty brew. Well I usually enjoy Baltic Porter a lot, and this was a fine example.
