33cl bottle from Alko, Turku. Pours very dark mahogany coloured, close to black, with a modest, beige head. Roasty and chocolaty with notes of vanilla, dried fruits and hints of coffee. Medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and slightly dry and bitter finish. Balanced, pleasant and quite enjoyable.

Tasted at TCBF 2018. Smell of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate. Black colour, brown head. Aroma of ash, roasted malt, some tar, a faint of hops. Soft, lively carbon. Foamy palate. Bitter, medium sweet.

Cola colored beer with medium long lasting head. Wonderful aroma, which has milk chocolate, vanilla, licorice, malts and hints of coffee is very well balanced. Taste is more straight with roasted malt, hints of coffee and licorice. High carbonation, dry end.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a large - altough short lasting - beige head. The aroma is surprisingly vinous and has got notes of sour coffee beans, dry chocolate, clove and vanilla. The taste and mouthfeel has got resemblances to that kind of light craft coffee full of flavor. Tastewise that is a good thing, altough bodywise not as good. There is also heavy carbonation going on which dosent help the mouthfeel. The end result - mouthfeelwise that is - is however pretty OK. Taste has got heavy notes of clove, strong chocolate, vanilla and some wood. Finishes dry. Overall this is a rather well made and elegant porter.

A colablack beer, a head is quite small and beige. Aroma has chocolate, some coffee and liquirice. Good aroma. Taste has liquirice, coffee, some bittterness in the end. Medium bodied, low carbonation. The body could be more strenght. Simple but tasteful beer.

Bottled@Gustav Wasa, Vasa. Black colour, brown head. Aroma is mild roasted notes. Aroma is ashes, toffee and some herbs. Flavour is ashes, liquorice, some and stuff. Balanced.

33 cl bottle @ Oljenkorsi. Batch B1, BBE 01.03.2016. Aroma is pleasant with coffee and licorice. Flavour has salty licorice, coffee and hints of cocoa. Also some dark chocolate at the end of the glass. Too salty for my taste but not bad.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch B1 - BB 01.03.2016, at Tommyknocker, Helsinki, 20150513) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had liquorice, dark chocolate, saltiness and sweer cocoa. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were cocoa, sweetness, burnt malts, liquorice, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste had burntness, sweetness and bitterness. A balanced dark brew but I’m still oversensitive to burtntness.
