In our Patagonia Amber Lager you will find a beer with a soft caramel flavor, made with a combination of the purest Patagonian hops and a variety of 4 special malts, which give it a malty character and a characteristic amber color.

355ml bottle. Clear, reddish, dark amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Weak, sweet-ish malty aroma with a penetrative, peppery spicy touch almost in ammonia direction, fruity overtones with a touch of red berries. Taste is sweet malty fruity, slightly artificial, sugary jelly bear fruitiness, a touch of red berries and cherry, toasty and earthy overtones of bread crust and soil.

740ml bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small, short lived, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of caramel malt and bread. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, bread, corn and grass with a mildly bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Surprisingly good as far as pale lagers go. Exceeded my expectations.

Bottle 750ml in BA restaurant. Amber color, small steady off-white head. Light malty notes but also some vegetables. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Light maltyness, some caramel and grassy hops. Low-key beer which should drink fresh on tap.

I swear Quilmes just put a different label on their Red variety and jacked up the price a little - if this is an amber, it’s fairly trashy. For a lager, its passable.
