A good all year round pint but especially perfect in the summer. With the aroma of orange and flowery hops this is a zesty, refreshing well balance ale. Triple hopped using typical English Goldings with a late addition of Citra.

Bottle conditioned 500ml: BBD end of Dec 14, poured carefully into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 29 Nov 13. Slight haze to my amber/dull golden pint: on top a full and deep white blanket of foam, enough to put out an aircraft fire. The nose was sweetened fruit laden onto a malted bread loaf, lashings of butter and all floating on a yeast pillow. The taste wasn’t as sweet as the aroma hinted at: this is fairly bitter and dry in the mouth, almost sour in fact (I wonder if the bright lights of the supermarket shelves has had an effect?), as if it was ’on the turn’ or had a yeast infection. Anyway I drank the lot, so it couldn’t have been off. Medium body depth and well carbonated, it had a mini fizz to it and on opening it tried to get out the bottle before I brought the glass to it. I have really enjoyed every beer from these guys before: this one however has let them down a little (if my bottle has come as they intended).

500ml bottle from Sainsbury’s. Pours clear pale yellow with good head and high carbonation. Grassy, lemon, hay, and lime aromas. More citrus on the taste, touch of soap. Easy drinking and good.

500ml bottle from Sainsbury’s - Cloudy orange body, fluffy white head. Nose of citrus, lemons particularly and some grassy notes. Taste is crisp, seems very familiar, long bitter finish. Very similar to Denbury Dreamer - is it the same? I quite like it nonetheless.

An interesting beer in appearance and taste. Cloudy orange with a light sweet aroma. Taste is an orangey citrus hit but a surprisingly watery finish. It?s a shame because they?ve aimed to make a really interesting beer and just fallen short.

50cl bottle from the Sainsbury’s Beer Hunt 2013 range. Earthy aroma and flavour. Amber colour with a haze, thin almost no, off white head. Vegetal and earth aroma. To be honest not a great beer. Unrefined and the bottle conditioning isn’t great. In fact this may end up being a drain pour. Some hop sting on the finish. Earthy and boiled vegetables on aroma is not good. Nope this is going to have to go.

50cl bottle from the Sainsbury’s Beer Hunt 2013 range. Bottle conditioned, so a rather cloudy orange pour with a billowing cream head; light floral aroma - no sign of any Citra; soft and creamy in the mouth, but rather watery; some fruity malt flavour, but rahter muddy; and lacking finish.
