On tap at Local Taphouse, St.Kilda during Good Beer Week 2015: given how good a beer the base is, I was really hoping for a party here. The whiskey barrels just haven’t delivered as much as I’d hoping. The aroma is fantastic of course, with strong peatiness. The balance isn’t quite there however, with the hop notes too blunted by the aging.
