440ml can. Pours almost black with a small tan head. Aroma of coffee, milk chocolate, roast malts. Taste of light sweet milky chocolate, bitter coffee and roast malts, dry roasted finish. Medium body, very smooth, soft carbonation. Well balanced, enjoyed this one much more than the three pale ales I've had so far from Loka Polly.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Pours a fairly thick, deep, mahogany brown. Not far off black, in the glass. Dense and creamy, lasting, lacing, light tan head. Nose has earthy coffee bean. Dregs of sugared espresso. Some cheap chocolate fudge. Taste is chocolatey sweet, with more of the earthy coffee. Smooth mouthfeel. Feels richer than you might expect from the lowly ABV. Sugary, dirty coffee bean bitterness to close. Impressive.

Can from Bottle Baron. Black body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of Twiglets, burnt toast, nuts and campfire. Flavour of earth, blueberry and coffee. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Smoky and interesting. Huge flavour for the ABV.
