Purple Haze® is a lager brewed with real raspberries added after filtration. It is brewed with pilsner and wheat malts and Vanguard hops. The berries add a fruity aroma, tartly sweet taste and a subtle purple color and haze...you may see fruit pulp in the beer. This beer is best served with salads or light fruit desserts, such as soufflés or chiffon cakes. Many people enjoy it with chocolate desserts. Purple Haze® pairs well with certain cheeses, such as ripened Brie or any dessert made with mascarpone. It’s also great paired with entrees prepared with fruit, especially citrus. A reddish yellow beer a head is quite small and blond. Aroma has raspberries and wheat malts. Taste has raspberries and wheat, hint of sourness. Medium bodied. I'm not convinced, the balance is not there.

Bottle at home, Tampere. Enjoyed straight from the bottle. Aromas and flavours: Wheat, berries, raspberries, some sweetness... wheat and raspberries just dont work.

Bottle @ Fox and Hounds, Sønderborg. Pours nearly clear light copper brown with stable white head. Clear aroma of berries, with notes of yeast and touches of hops. Citric flavour of berries, with bitter notes of hops and sweetish estery touches. Bitter and acidic aftertaste with touches of yeast. Reasonable, but watery.

Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy powerful raspberry aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Strong raspberry notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Pint at the Happy Viking. Why all the hate? Whiel not outstanding, it wasn't bad. Nice bready fullness, and solid raspberry flavors. Didn't seem fake.
