HOUTGERIJPTE GOLDEN SOUR MET RABARBER EN ZWARTE BESSENBLAD
Meander is als een ontspannen avondwandeling in een zomerse moestuin, waar de verschillende geuren van fruit, groenten en bloemen je tegemoet komen. Terwijl je langzaam van de ene plek naar de andere loopt, vloeien de geuren in elkaar over als een rivier die door het landschap schuift.
Meander heeft een zachte, zilte bite van rabarber, die zich fraai mengt met de rode fruittoetsen van het cassisblad. Een spannend, wijnachtig, ‘pfefferlich’ bier waarin je een hint van groene peper, paprika en vlierbloesem kunt ontdekken. Een geheel met vele kleuren en een zeer bijzondere drinkervaring.

Bottle at Luppolo Station in Rome. Ancient Gold pour with a lacing. Nose: root, soft licorice root, ashes. Mouth: clean golden, sweet sour a bit short. Nice

Bottle @Luppolo Station (Rome). Gialla appena torbida, schiuma bianca media. Al naso note di rabarbaro, uva fragola, mirtillo, citrico, erbaceo. In bocca è acida senza eccessi, fruttata, citrica e tart. Corpo medio, carbonazione corretta. Buonissima!

375ml bottle, thanks MonsterMagnet. Pours a misty gold, no lasting head. Aroma is wild floral, taste brings assorted wild floral notes, lightly sour with a bretty sweetness. Not really detecting rhubarb or specific fruit, though i will agree theres an appealing fruity complexity. Very nice.

Head gone in seconds, big lazy-bubbled pale golden clear beer. Lactic acid, and a very floral, aromatic nose. Blackcurrant leaf???? That usually equals cat's pee, but no trace of that - really inviting nose. Very good balance sweet-sour. Green and fine berries. Floral, fruity, mainly lemon or lemonleaf. Light body, undercarbonated, starting sparkling then falling flat. Excellent, truly remarkable beer.

750mml. Bottle tasted on the 20/11/2018 at Groningen (The Netherlands). Aroma is rhubarb, green aples, cider, wild yeast and some barnyard. Taste is intense rhubarb and wild yeast leading to a sour and fruity finish. Enjoyable and well balanced. Next one please!

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, thin white head. Aroma: Sourish, herbal. Taste: Moderate sour, lightly sweet and bitter, fruity notes of rhubarb and hints of red fruit, herbal and peppery hints. Wild yeast. Medium body, just below average carbonaton. Another typical Nevel Ale. Nice one. Edit april 16, 2020: Also fruity notes of stonefruit. No hints of red fruit but hints of blueberries. Leathery wild yeast funk. Some wood. Floral hints. Just under medium body, below average carbonation. I think I appreciate Nevel Ales more and more. Rating 7-3-7-4-15 = 3.6 goes to 8-3-8-3-16 = 3.8
