Bottle from the Vineyard, Belfast. Appearance - opaque black-ish. Nice fawn head. Nose - dried prunes, treacle. Taste - more prunes, plums, more treacle, a touch of molasses. Palate - rich and full, but it tapers off nice and gently through the finish - nice linger. Overall - very good.

Keg at Understudy, 11/04/18. Black with a well appointed light tan cap. Nose is chocolate cake, lactic nip, strawberries, sweet malts, mellow roast, toffee. Taste comprises cocoa powder, red berry fruits, toffee, chocolate cake, blueberry muffin, light spice, roast malts. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, light warming boost at the curtain call. Decent enough impy ... perhaps lacks some depth but drinks easy on the ABV offered.
