The Saison Dupont is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Since 1844, this beer has been brewed in our farm-brewery, during the winter time.
Then this beer became a second refermentation in the barrel.
During the next summer, this very thirst-quenching beer was served to the “saisoniers” which were working on the fields.
Surely therefore, our Saison Dupont is considered as “the classic” among the Belgian season beers!
Coppery blond, the finest aromas and a strong bitterness transform this beer into a thirst-quenchener with no equal, just the way it was created.
Our selection of yeasts is the perfect base for these typical aromas and ditto taste.
A real refermentation in the bottle, which will continue for a long time in your cellar, result into this complex and particular aromatic beer.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours golden, fairly transparent, with white foam. Aroma resembles bretted beers. Body is medium, with good alcoholic feeling and carbonation. Taste is moderately bitter, with a hint of sourness. A bit of astringency as week, maybe. Finish is relatively short.

Bottle at Vest, Rīga. Golden with a big white head and shitloads of sediment. Aroma of yeast roll, candy sugar, coriander, loquat. Sweet bready/yeasty/nutty with a touch of citrus sour in the taste. Yeasty finish, very well carbonated. A charming classic beer well worth its reputation.

A good saison with a powerful thirst quenching spiciness. It was a good beer and I am now a firm fan of the beer type.

0,33 bottle. Pours golden yellow with small white head that lingers. Aromas of fruit, lemongrass, hay, coriander, clove. Medium carbonation and medium, crisp body. Lightly bitter, sour and yeasty with spicy finish. Well rounded, complex and yet very refreshing beer.

Bottle. Hazy yellow, big massive white head, dissipates slowly leaving lots of lacings. Stellar looks. Aroma is citrus, hay, bread, cereal and floral notes. Taste is surprisingly full, bready citrus notes, rustic and crisp note, slight yeast, malty sweetness in the back balanced out perfectly to a flowery, slight perfumal, even creamy and dry finish. Medium body, low to medium carbo. So great.
