The Saison Dupont is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Since 1844, this beer has been brewed in our farm-brewery, during the winter time.
Then this beer became a second refermentation in the barrel.
During the next summer, this very thirst-quenching beer was served to the “saisoniers” which were working on the fields.
Surely therefore, our Saison Dupont is considered as “the classic” among the Belgian season beers!
Coppery blond, the finest aromas and a strong bitterness transform this beer into a thirst-quenchener with no equal, just the way it was created.
Our selection of yeasts is the perfect base for these typical aromas and ditto taste.
A real refermentation in the bottle, which will continue for a long time in your cellar, result into this complex and particular aromatic beer.

330ml bottle [I’m not sure, where the bartle-bier takes the must from, but I’m glad he brought some for me - merci ! ]. Clear, yellow-ish, deep golden colour, a handful of tiny settlement chunks floating around; average to huge, fluffy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing white head on top. Concentrated, fruity aroma of dried stone fruit, peach, apricot, mirabelle, mildly spicy, dusty yeasty overtones, minimally waxy, tart-ish complement with notes of unripe nectarine and peach peel. Taste is moderately sweet fruity, covering the whole spectrum of yellow stone fruit flavours, dry hoppy overtones, a waxy touch of nectarine peel, minimally peppery, yeasty spiciness; full-bodied, smooth and soft palate, gentle though refreshingly prickling carbonation. Excellent.

Bottle. Hazy golden color with big white head. Yeasty character in the aroma, a bit spicy, a hint of lemons. Cookie dough, honey, fruit esthers, flowery, slightly peppery finish. Smooth. A world classic. 8-4-8-5-16. Tap at Akkurat. This is truly one of the best Saisons in the world. So fresh, with the same characteristics as the bottle, but just somehow a bit better. 8-4-9-5-17

Tried at Keans head, Nottingham. Pale straw colour with a thick white head. Aroma floral and citrus hops, and yeast. Taste light sweet and slight sour.

Fra 0,33 flaske (med champagnekork og wire) på Cardinal M2 sep-15: et fyrtårn å navigere etter! Lett uklar gylden med tett skum som varer. Nydelig, kompleks og lekkert krydret aroma og smak med toner av stall og slått. Superb, med lang ettersmak (men med en anelse metallisk bitterhet?).

Shared bottle at home. Pours hazy golden with big white head. Aroma of fruit, banana, peaches, spices, honey, a little vomit. Taste quite sweet, pretty bitter finish. Thin-medium bodied, highly carbonated.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Albert Heijn, Culemborg. Hazy golden with a big white head. Yeasty aroma with some citrus. Taste is bittersweet and the finish is long and dry. A very nice saison.

Tap@Black Swan, Copenhagen - gold yellow coloured pour with a white head. Aroma and taste is fruity and floral grassy hoppy, some barnyard yeast, zesty citrus lemon notes, some more grassy and floral nuances, light palate, dry finish. Lovely.
