The Saison Dupont is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Since 1844, this beer has been brewed in our farm-brewery, during the winter time.
Then this beer became a second refermentation in the barrel.
During the next summer, this very thirst-quenching beer was served to the “saisoniers” which were working on the fields.
Surely therefore, our Saison Dupont is considered as “the classic” among the Belgian season beers!
Coppery blond, the finest aromas and a strong bitterness transform this beer into a thirst-quenchener with no equal, just the way it was created.
Our selection of yeasts is the perfect base for these typical aromas and ditto taste.
A real refermentation in the bottle, which will continue for a long time in your cellar, result into this complex and particular aromatic beer.

330ml bottle. Pours a rich 24k golden color with a small white head that recedes to a fine film. The aroma is mild with grains, grasses and yeast. The taste is similar to the nose with yeasts grains and grasses. The palate is medium and the carbonation is soft. Finishes long and dry with lingering yeasts. Overall: decent. A classic that defines the style.

330ml bottle. Light cloudy gold with large frothy white head, excellent retention and lacing. Aroma is aromatic fruity, yeasty, grassy, grains. Taste is white grape, gooseberry, yeast, grass. Quite light in flavour at first but then you get a lovely build up of the fruity layers to this beer. Near medium body and a nice carbonation which coats the palate. A good classic.

Tap at ZBF: Not biological but the original dark blond saison ale with splendid bitter aftertaste, it will quench your thirst right well.

Bottle. Aroma: complex, fine and good hop, floral and spicy, fruity notes, spicy yeast, grain. Taste: light malt sweetness and sourness, light fruits, clear hop bitterness, a bit of higher alcohols, candy sugar, soaked apple, good.
