Hazy, not soupy, bright orange-golden body is topped by a good amount of white head that shows strong moderate-to-strong retention.
Citra in the nose is done very well, just as the Galaxy from their other version. As far as comparisons go, it’s done perfectly well, with a great juiciness and ample bitterness, though obviously leaning much more towards the aromatic/flavor aspects than the bitterness. Malts add mostly texture, with some honey and bread, but are well-attenuated and you’re left with a deliciously drinkable IPA in the vein of Trillium and Hill Farmstead. Tight carbonation and no alcohol or flaws. I find citra to be a much more pleasant hop than Galaxy, so I prefer this version, but it’s all a matter of taste. Very light amounts of resin/acid chip at the palate, on the finish. This seems to be the case with many of these beers, however (happens with many of Trilliums beers too).
