Bottle: Clear, deep chestnut-amber coloured, big and lasting beige head with a little lace; light to moderate chocolaty, caramelly and roast-malty nose with dried fruits and some hops; moderate sweet-bitter (almost a bit fruity) flavour; slightly lingering, well rounded malty-fruity and also a bit hoppy finish. Good and pleasant, but inoffensive DDR-Bock......

(bottle, courtesy of kappldav123) Clear, dark brown colour with a big and beige foamy head. Moderately sweet and roasted malty nose with ashy notes, caramel and a tinge of chocolate. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a calm carbonation. Roasty malty, slightly ashy and earthy taste with caramel, cacao and leather; medium-dry sweet-bitter toasty malty finish with a rounded hoppy and roasty bitterness. All in all pretty good, much better when it warms. 28.XII.09

Bottled. A chestnut brown beer with a thin fast disappearing tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of dusty hops, malt, caramel, and bread, leading to a dry bready finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Bottle, 6.7%. Mildly sweet aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Almost no head. The flavour is OK sweet, has some lagery dry notes in the finish. A little brown sugar, but no more than is expected.
