Traditional bottom-fermented bock, which can induce nostalgic feelings, brewed the Oedipus way. This means a bock with hop aromas present, but not predominant due to the traditional hop varieties. This keeps the chocolate and toast notes from the malt intact. The aftertaste is slightly dry and quite bitter.

Bottle from Beerwulf. Pours a dark brown colour with a reddish hue and a large thick creamy beige head. Nice lacing. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, nuts and hints of roasted malts and brown bread. Taste is again the same notes as the aroma. Medium bodied with a very smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. One of the better Dutch bocks i have tried.

Taste starts with medium sweet caramel and toasted malt, following is grassy with dried fruity and toasted note, mouthfeel is warm, while finish is mild to medium bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Madeleine alright...

Glas gedeelt met Roelzie1986. Het is donkerbruin tot roodbruin bier met een dun crème schuim. Het heeft een moutige wat koffie achtige geur. De smaak is fruitig en caramelachtig.
