290ml bottle [another Grumbonian gift - thanks!]. Cloudy, orangey amber colour with with small, frothy to creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Perfumed, floral-herbal-spicy and nutty aroma, notes of petals, coniferes, oak, hints of chestnut, some rye spiciness; Taste is dry, oaky, floral-herbal-spicy, hints of petals, a touch of lavender, underlying hints of chestnut. Quite unusual, very interesting composition.

31/3/2018. Bottle from Pitt Cue. As X Chestnut (the post-Xmas rebrand). Pours amber with a off-white head. Aroma of bourbon, herbs, medicine, spices and light wood. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
