Vuur & Vlam is an overly hopped beer. Yet, it's not aggressive in it's bitterness or too grassy from the hops. We mainly retrieve the fruit and floral aromas from the hops. Giving it a huge hop character with the nasty bitterness. Flavor indication: citrus, floral, light grassy. Translates as Fire & Flames

Flaska från Systembolaget. Klar bärnstensfärgad vätska. Intensiv arom av humle, grape och blommor. Kraftfullt humlebett i smak. Efterlämnar lång eftersmak.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a coudy light amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is very malty and not particularly hoppy as one might expect. The flavour is medium bitter and zesty, with some slightly liqourice alcohol bitterness hitting the palate pretty quickly and not staying around for too long in the aftertaste. It’s a beer I like, but for hopheads, other beers have long since surpassed it.

Bottle from Ninas 120113 Bottled 070612
Light amber, slight haze, bubbly white head, dissipates to thin layer
Aroma - soft lemon, hint of hay, very little hop aroma
Taste - Sweet soft pale malts, soft hay, hint of apricot, hop flavour has gone. dull taste
Palate - Medium carb and body, oily texture, touch of glycerine. Finish is brief, soft bitter.
Overall - Well the hops have almost vanished from this, very little here, it says it can last 2 years - 6 months later and the hops have almost gone. The glass bottles need to be darker, they are light brown and more light is getting through than it should.

Bottle - thanks MrHangover! Pours hazy amber with a medium white head and good lacing. Aroma is faint with notes of pine and citrus. Flavor is about the same, lightly sweet, light bitter. Medium body. Tastes and smells a bit over the hill, but not a bad effort.

Star fruit, lemon, marshmallow peeps, boiled cabbage, and okra nose. Cloudy gold, enormous yellow head. Grassy boiled cabbage. Finishes ashy. Pretty freaking awful. Bottled on 12/21/10. Obviously well past its prime.

Pours pale amber with a large head.Massive lychee hit in the aroma. Pretty much dominates. Graduall fades to let some peach and papaya through along with some spicy phenols and sweet, biscuity malt.Biscuity and bready malt first up as flavours with a bold grapefruit and pine hop hit after. Some booze and Belgian phenols following, tripel-style.Too much carbonation.

Probably not as fresh as it could be in its best. I imagine it came over by boat and has been in stock at volos for a few months. A little musky maltiness, a little hops. Pretty good for IPA. I’d like to have it again in Europe. Pretty light carbonation. Some sweetness from the caramlized malt. Bottle.

Töképetes IPA. Szűretlen búzsörhöz hasonló hívogató opálosság, tartós hab a tetején. Grapefruitos tipikus amerikai típusú IPA íz. Egyszerűen tökéletes.
