Tap at Fierce Manchester. Golden colour and small white head. Herbal hoppy nose, a bit musty. Light-bodied. Light citrus, pine. Low bitterness. Uninspiring.

Draught at the brand pub in Edinburgh. Dark clear golden with medium head. Faint citrus and flower aroma. Fresh grapefruit taste with flower notes. Medium bitterness ending.

Can 33 cl. Pours golden with a slight haze and a small, rough, white head. Odd bubblegummy aroma. Medium body, sweet fruitiness, again this odd underlying bubblegum note - do these guys use flavorings in their beer? Bitterish finish. Good it is not. Refreshing it is neither. 060922

Clear golden beer with a good white head. Smells a little malty with grassy hop. Flavour has a little sharp citrus to it, sweet and the hoppy bitterness comes in a little later. There's a bit of tang in the aftertaste but not much, or much else. It's a solid but unremarkable IPA.

Appearance is amber, bit of haze, with the half-finger head. Aroma is orange, pithy fruit, rye hints, malty stewed fruit, peach. Taste is bitter hoppy fruit, peach, stone fruit, hints of dark fruit and malt. Good ‘old school’ IPA.

Gusher: Tight white head left a creamy cover on an amber body. Well balanced aroma with malt, pine & sweet fruits. Medium bodied, smooth with a nicely carbonated cloying back. Sweet citrus, melon, bubble gum & spicy tastes leaving a nice tangy finish. Very drinkable.

330ml can as part fo a delivery from the brewery. Mid- to dark gold, clear with a foamy white head. Pine, caramel, maybe some stewed apple in the aroma. Bittersweet taste, pleasant without particularly engaging the tastebuds. Sweet candied orange notes and more caramel in the finish. Light to medium body, carbonation on the heavy side. Not Fierce's most exciting concoction but reasonable enough for a Sunday evening.
