Made in Dublin, Ireland at St. James's Gate, Guinness™ Nitro IPA is brewed with Irish barley malt, a touch of roasted barley and five hop varieties — Admiral, Celeia, Topaz, Challenger and Cascade. The Challenger, Cascade and Topaz hops are dry-hopped to accentuate a sharp citrus aroma. The beer's blend of CO2 and Nitrogen helps to balance out the profusion of hop flavors, while also creating the signature surge and settle made famous by Guinness™ Draught. The IPA is brewed with the same unique Guinness yeast strain used to ferment all stouts at St. James's Gate.

Going from memory here. Appearance was nice clear golden yellow with expected nice nitro head, decent sparkle. Aroma muted by nitro head but nothing terribly good or bad. Taste was a fairly weak IPA with a decent amount of bitterness but not a lot of special flavor. Palate of creamy head with light-to-medium bodied, thin texture and lively carbonation just does not work. Overall, an interesting experiment but nitro should simply be left to more malty beers. And, oh yeah, if the palate isn’t going to carry it, make a more interesting smelling/tasting IPA.

Can, one of four given as a gift (not too sure what I am going to do with the other three). Opened on 4th June 2016 in California while on holiday and awaiting for the BBQ to get going. The beer reminded me of John Smith’s Creamflow, cold, smooth, tasteless and odourless. Just a terrible beer all round to be honest, where have all the stated hops and their flavours gone? The widget does make the beer look good once it settles but come on, a lasting head does not ’maketh the beer’ as Shakespeare would have said.

Evident British malt aroma of toffee and treacle. Substantial minty chewing gum and pencil shavings accents. Hazy tea, medium creamy off white head, cascading carbonation. Woody toffee, grass finish. Some cardboard. Medium body, creamy, soft carbonation. Quite oxidized, but not in a terrible way.

Can from Kroger. Pretty nitro look. Brown with soft foam. Smells of citrus, apples. Light aroma. Taste is rather plain and watery. Light citrus hops, some apple, pine, grasses. Lightly sweet. Unfortunately, nothing extraordinary, even with the nitro can.

Nitro draft at The Ale House. Pours a murky owner with a creamy head. Clarifies as it sits in the glass. Biscuit and dough, caramel, citrus, and floral. Very creamy, nitro style feel which works only okay with the flavors of this beer. It's fine, but I'm not running or for it again.
