Made in Dublin, Ireland at St. James's Gate, Guinness™ Nitro IPA is brewed with Irish barley malt, a touch of roasted barley and five hop varieties — Admiral, Celeia, Topaz, Challenger and Cascade. The Challenger, Cascade and Topaz hops are dry-hopped to accentuate a sharp citrus aroma. The beer's blend of CO2 and Nitrogen helps to balance out the profusion of hop flavors, while also creating the signature surge and settle made famous by Guinness™ Draught. The IPA is brewed with the same unique Guinness yeast strain used to ferment all stouts at St. James's Gate.

(Keg at O’Connell’s, 20170211) The beer pale mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized, dense, white and it lasted long. Aroma had grass, creaminess and stale butter. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. Where was the IPA part in this beer?

Draught @ Black Door, Helsinki. Sweetish creamy ale with hints of caramely malts, grass and toffee. Not really an IPA.

Draught@Office Bar, Vaasa. Copper colour, white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some wooden and earthy notes as well. Flavour is wooden, caramelly, some toffee, mild bitterness and floral notes as well. Quite creamy palate. Not an "IPA" as such, even if thinking British IPA, but still very nice.

Tap at Ravintola Kirjakauppa. Clear ruby color, medium-sized off-white head. Light fruity, even a bit berryish aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Flavor has light hops, caramel and menthol. Aftertaste has some odd fruit salad flavored hops. Maybe some of these more exotic hop varities used? Tolerable.

can - Pours a deep, mostly clear gold with a typically big, dense nitro head. The aroma has mild earthy, floral notes and caramel malt. It tastes moderately bitter at most with the smooth, creamy mouthfeel of a nitro beer. The flavor isn’t bad. It’s just too bland. Okay, but underwhelming beer...

Caramel orange with a creamy head. Earthy sweet with plenty of malt. An overall bland profile. Bought out of curiosity. Won’t repeat.
